Wasatch Back ***Ragnar Baby!

The Ragnar, Wasatch Back Relay was last month and I'm getting around to blogging about it!
Spec's:
193 miles
12 people
2 vans
30 hours (for us anyway)
Lots of sweat, carbs, and belly laugh's!

Can I just tell you how much fun we had?

First off, my Ragnar theme song this time was "SING" by the cast of GLEE
Check it out here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j6mQ0zFbhqs

Secondly, I had the best "Last Minute" van!
To make a long story short, I was kinda scrambling at the last minute to replace 2 people who at the last minute could not do it anymore. So I brought it up in one of my PUMP (toning) classes and BAM! Two crazy ladies said YEP, I'll do it!

Happiness came over me, and the excitement began! I packed, loaded up our car, told my husband that he now was the only MALE in our van of 5 ladies, and we took off to Liberty Utah to relieve our Van 1.

And here we are waiting for runner six to cross the line, so we can begin the adventure!

We ran and ran! All 12 of us get to run 3 different legs.
Mine were as follows:
Leg 1 - 5.5 Miles
Leg 2 - 5.5 (I switched with my husband, due to my injury. More on that later)
Leg 3 - 7.2 Miles

I was runner 12 and I was sooo excited to run our team in to the finish line, with one minor exception. I WAS INJURED. The whole time in fact. I went nuts at a Zumba class a month or so prior, and I wore the wrong shoes (Converse's). The two together somehow provided me with a foot injury that I haven't gotten ride of.
So I went in to it with and injury and left crying with injury (yes it's true). But that is just a side note to me because I LOVED it.
This is my 3rd Ragnar, and everytime it seems to get better.

So if/when your opportunity comes up to be crazy and run a Ragnar relay race, seriously, just say yes. Even if it is not an enthusiastic YES. You will not be sorry. Pinky Promise.

ME

This post is really for my own reassurance in ME.

It's ok to take time for me.
It's ok to stop the day to day.
It's ok to miss something, if it allows me to breathe
It's ok to long for more
It's ok to think about me
It's ok to remember what I want "me" to be
It's ok to allow me to shine through
It's ok to walk, talk, think, shine, and even just "be" me
It's ok to not want the normal
It's ok to dream
It's ok to want
It's ok to do

It's ok to be truly ME.

My favorite fitness clothes!

Hi-

I thought I would share (as I have before!) a couple of my favorite places to buy workout clothes online.

1- Lululemon
http://www.lululemon.com/
Clothes are amazingly comfortable and way cute. A little pricey, but the quality makes it worth it. I have had some of my Lulu clothes for 5 years and it's still going strong!

2- Impact Fitness (a utah company)
http://www.impactfitnesswear.com/
Megan the owner does a great job with fun style and quality clothing. There shorts are some of my favorites, and I love the wild tops!

Have fun shopping, and let me know your favorite places to shop!

Hmmm. Thinking 2011

For all of you who are struggling to even start the journey of physical fitness, it is not fair to look around you and see all those who are already on their journey and compare yourself to them.

Do you realize that most of those people probably walked before they ran? Or paced before they sprinted? Be fair to yourself. You start your journey for you and stop comparing to everyone else.

Set your goal, get up, and work on achieving it. Find support people that will help you achieve your goal.

Have you thought of your 2011 goals? It's time to start. Set them, make them real, and start preparing for a new and better YOU.

How about it? I dare you to post a 2011 goal.
