So I brought it up in one of my PUMP (toning) classes and BAM! Two crazy ladies said YEP, I'll do it!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Happiness came over me, and the excitement began! All 12 of us get to run 3 different legs.&lt;br /&gt;Mine were as follows:&lt;br /&gt;Leg 1 - 5.5 Miles&lt;br /&gt;Leg 2 - 5.5 (I switched with my husband, due to my injury. More on that later)&lt;br /&gt;Leg 3 - 7.2 Miles&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I was runner 12 and I was sooo excited to run our team in to the finish line, with one minor exception.  I WAS INJURED.  The whole time in fact.  I went nuts at a Zumba class a month or so prior, and I wore the wrong shoes (Converse's).  The two together somehow provided me with a foot injury that I haven't gotten ride of.&lt;br /&gt;So I went in to it with and injury and left crying with injury (yes it's true).  But that is just a side note to me because I LOVED it.&lt;br /&gt;This is my 3rd Ragnar, and everytime it seems to get better.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So if/when your opportunity comes up to be crazy and run a Ragnar relay race, seriously, just say yes.  Even if it is not an enthusiastic YES.  You will not be sorry. Or paced before they sprinted? Be fair to yourself.  You start your journey for you and stop comparing to everyone else. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Set your goal, get up, and work on achieving it.  Find support people that will help you achieve your goal.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Have you thought of your 2011 goals?  It's time to start.  Set them, make them real, and start preparing for a new and better YOU.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;How about it? Whatever the reason is that it is hurting you (minus a medical condition), I challenge you to 1)stop whining and 2) start crunching!&lt;br /&gt;Your ABS (a HUGE provider of torso stabilization) provide a whole bunch of support for your low back.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So get on the floor, feet on the floor, and start crunching! Focus on getting your shoulder blades off the floor as you lift and exhaling on the way up, with a inhale on the way down.&lt;br /&gt;Start with 10 sets of 10. Yes that equals 100! Then every day you do this add more and more onto your sets until eventually you  whip out 100 before you know it.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;-Oh, and on a side note.  Do you have strong ABS already, but still experience back pain?  Well then, your problem may be the exact opposite.  Strong ABS, weak back.  In this case get flat on the floor, tummy down and lift arms and legs up.  Also called Superman.  Holding for at least 20 seconds and doing 3-5 sets. For more advanced moves you can "swim" with your arms and legs.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;All in all BALANCE people! If one area is strong and the opposite mover is not then there is not BALANCE.  Everyone needs the magic of BALANCE to fight off injury, or overuse of the stronger area.
